Our Interest rate lock expired today, we were very lucky the rates have been going down over the last week and we got a new lower rate lock. We have been working with a great mortgage company and they have been taking good care of us. A lot has been accomplished today on our punch list, I did have to turn the master water line on myself since my new yard was burning up. It needed water bad.

The grass and landscaping were burning up.

The third car garage door lock was installed, we're not going to have a door opener for that door.

I guess I'll put off being a home owner again until next week.

The Front door saga still continues, someone doesn't want Michelle to have the door she wants.

As you can see there are indentations in the door sidewall, as-well-as a break were tongue and side plate go. This must get fixed, or someone could just use a screwdriver to break through the door.

The roof is lookin good and Brown. :) Still waiting for Rain gutters.

Michelle got the range top she wanted.

The Master tub has some damage that needs to be repaired.

Plumbing was done today, the Master tub looks great.

Hose bibs and toilets were installed.

And the Front door saga continues, we got the correct front door back yesterday and the painter came and painted it. The only problem was they painted the inside half of the door, the color of our walls not the trim color like every other door in the house. They'll have to come back and try again tomorrow.

Will Salisbury make the 45 day promise? We did a walk through with our Realtor John Houston, and we ended up with about a 15 item punch list that needs to be completed before closing. Waiting for the plumber.

The roof still needs ridge tiles, and the backyard needs to be graded out and smoothed over. The Landscaping look great.

We're still waiting to hear what becomes of our request to change the granite.

We got our appliances today, Dishwasher, Microwave and the wrong stove/oven. We are suppose to be getting an upgraded coil top range. (Michelle prefers the coil top range)

We have carpet.

Upgraded carpet pad, with the best carpet Salisbury offered.

I checked the house this afternoon and found the inside painted, but it was all one tone. We ordered two tone paint. The painters have to let the paint dry and then start re-masking, for the baseboards, frames and doors to be repainted.

Big Scare

Yesterday we had a big scare. We had to go pick new carpet because the carpet we picked was no longer available. But that's not the scare part. After we spent an hour trying to pick out carpet, we went to our house where they had started painting. As I walked in the door, I was scared, very scared. Our paint looked pink, coral, flesh colored, even Barbie flesh colored. We were mortified. It was like we'd moved back to St. George. I even called our neighbor and had her come look and she could see what we saw. We immediately called Karen, the lady who helps us, to tell her what we found and that we HAD to change it. This morning she called and luckily it was only the primer. However, we'll found out hopefully today what our real color is. I asked them to put some splashes on the wall to help us see what it will be like before they actually paint tomorrow. Oh, talk about stress for 12 hours!!

Hopefully we'll have some pictures of our pretty walls soon.

We also have a tenative week to be in our house--about the 2nd week of June--Hooray!!!

**Thank you Christopher and Emily for bringing us our appliances. We're excited to get them in there and be in our house. We enjoyed having you here and hope that Christopher has gotten some sleep.

Tuesday, we went to see if they had textured anything yet, and they had basically the whole house except about 4 walls in the living room and kitchen area. So that should be done by now. We also found our tile in the garage waiting to be installed. Yesterday we didn't visit, but will probably today. I also included a pict of the exterior of our house. Our siding is interesting, depending on the sky, it looks more brown or more gray. Kind of cool, we think.

I installed TV conduit in our house tonight, so when I hang a TV on the wall there will be no wires showing. Me and Owen went to Home Depot and bought a Shop Vac and vacuumed up the standing water in the basement. The house is suppose to get insulation on April 2nd.

No pictures, nothing much different that can be shown in a picture. But they have done most of the electrical and we have a fireplace. The shingles are sitting on the top of our roof waiting to be done. Plus the forms for the front porch are there. We'll see what gets done next week.

We had fun showing it last night to PJ and Elizabeth Strong. The kids had fun just running around yelling and stomping. I am excited for them to have a house and a yard to play in. It will be great to expand!

For the past week and a half we've forgotten to bring our camera to our house. Jared finally remembered today! Our roof was on last week but this week it's been kind of slow. We do have a fireplace now and I know they are planning to pour our porches this week. Things seem to move a bit slower now that the outside is mostly done (or so I've been told). Hopefully ours will keep moving smoothly.
